Perkins Is Coming to Crowley: First Texas Location Opens in Fall 2026

Crowley to Host First-of-Its-Kind Perkins in Fall 2026

Burleson and Crowley neighbors, get ready for a new flavor to hit the South 817 food scene: Perkins American Food Co., a classic, family-style dining brand, is expanding into Texas for the first time. And Crowley will be its inaugural location.

The new restaurant will feature Perkins’ revamped prototype design, blending nostalgic touches with modern elements in both menu and atmosphere.

What’s Coming & When

  • The Crowley Perkins location is expected to open in fall 2026.

  • It’ll be the brand’s first restaurant in Texas, marking a major milestone in Perkins’ over-65-year history.

  • The menu will include Perkins’ signature breakfast offerings (omelets, benedicts, “griddle greats”) as well as new additions like shareable appetizers, lighter options, burgers, and “Perkins plates” (homestyle entrees with sides).

Why Crowley Matters

  • First in Texas: Crowley gets bragging rights. It’s the first Perkins in the state.

  • Boost to the dining scene: A new full-service restaurant like Perkins can attract diners who prefer sit-down, comfort food options over fast food.

  • Jobs & economic growth: Construction, kitchen and service staff, procurement. The ripple effects are meaningful for Crowley residents.

A Bit of Brand Background

Perkins traces its roots to 1958, originally as a pancake house in Ohio, before expanding into full-service casual dining with a bakery component. Today, it toes the line between tradition and modernization, keeping its breakfast classics while evolving its menu and look to appeal to today’s diners.

The new prototype restaurants emphasize a refreshed design, updated service flow, and menu innovation. That means you’ll recognize a Perkins feel, but also find surprises.

The Standard Rises: Boutique Hilton Hotel Coming to Burleson’s Chisenhall Corridor

Luxury Lands in Burleson: The Standard Hotel Announced at Chisenhall

Burleson’s skyline, and its hospitality scene, are set to reach new heights. The City of Burleson has approved a development agreement for The Standard, a new boutique hotel that will anchor the growing Standard at Chisenhall development.

Approved on October 20, the project marks a major milestone in Burleson’s continued investment in quality growth, tourism, and economic vitality.

A New Chapter for Burleson Hospitality

With an $18 million investment, The Standard will feature 80 upscale rooms across five to six stories and operate under the Hilton Tapestry Collection, a brand known for one-of-a-kind hotels that reflect the local character and community.

Why It Matters

Located along W. Hidden Creek Boulevard, adjacent to Chisenhall Fields, the new hotel will serve as a key anchor for the mixed-use development, offering a high-end option for visitors attending sporting events, business travelers, and weekend guests alike.

What’s Next

Construction is expected to begin in 2026, with a grand opening planned for late 2027. When complete, The Standard will bring a sophisticated lodging experience with modern design, upscale amenities, and a local touch, setting a new standard for what’s possible in Burleson.

KMP Plumbing Breaks Ground on $6 Million Burleson Headquarters

A Family Legacy Grows in Burleson: KMP Expands at Highpoint

Residents of Crowley, Texas have a clear opportunity this weekend to safely dispose of unused or expired prescription medications. The Crowley Police Department is hosting a free drop-off event on Saturday, October 25, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the police station, located at 671 Bus. FM 1187 W.

This initiative, part of the national effort led by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) called National Drug Take-Back Day, invites community members to bring surplus prescription drugs and drop them off without any questions asked. It’s a practical way to help prevent misuse, accidental ingestion, or harmful disposal in household trash or down the drain.

Why it matters: Studies show that many misuse cases begin with accessible medications at home. By taking this easy step, Crowley residents support public health, reduce risk for teens and seniors, and aid in keeping the local community safer.

Here’s what to know:

  • Bring your prescription medications (no questions asked, no ID required).

  • The drop-off window is 10 a.m.–2 p.m., Saturday, October 25.

  • The location: 671 Bus. FM 1187 W., Crowley.

  • The event is hosted by the Crowley Police Department in partnership with the national DEA program.

Make a simple choice that has lasting effects. Clear out your medicine cabinet, and help keep our community safer.
